Morgon is described as the most “Burgundy-like of the Beaujolais 10 crus”. The grape is Gamay and the vines are around 55 years old. Harvesting is done by hand. The grapes go into the vat in whole bunches without crushing or de-stemming them, and the vinification and storage takes place in temperature-controlled vats.
The wine has a bright red color and the aroma is dominated by ripe black fruit together with citrus and slightly spicy overtones. The taste is fresh and harmonious, and the wine has a noticeable but silky tannin.
This is a delicious wine that can be stored for 5 to 10 years. The wine goes well with e.g. beef, meat-in-sauce dishes, steak bourguignon and coq au vin. When young, it should be drawn up in good time or decanted.

Bourgogne de Vigne en Verre blev etableret i 1981 af en gruppe franske vinproducenter, der søger at optimere medlemmernes administration, så de fuldt ud kan fokusere på det, de bedst kan lide: dyrkning af vinstokke og vinfremstilling.
Gruppen repræsenterer ca. 30 producenter (hvoraf 12 er ligeværdige aktionærer), og de arbejder sammen om logistik og distribution. Gruppen har:

• 300 hektar vinmarker
• 90 Bourgogne AOC-vine
• 950.000 flasker distribueret over hele verden. 50 % i Frankrig og 50 % på eksportmarkederne.
