Bodegas Volver
Bodegas Volvers was founded in 2004 by Rafael Cañizares, who is a 4th generation winemaker and who is a trained oenologist. The winery works a lot with the relocation of quality Spanish wines and the recovery of old native vineyards that had otherwise been lost either due to low production or a lack of generational change.
Bodegas Volver produces wines from Alicante, La Mancha, Jumilla, Rueda, Valencia and soon Rías Baixas, and the winery is known for its modern approach to its work with grape varieties such as Monastrell, Tempranillo, Merseguera, Macabeo, Moscatel, etc.
“My job is to achieve the highest quality, which begins with the grape and ends with the bottling of the wines,” says oenologist Rafael Cañizares, who believes that his wines reflect his personality. “I base my ideas on the tenacity and work of a Manchego who, despite difficulties, continues to fight for what they believe in: the potential for quality wines that exist in this area.”
The wines are characteristically clean, well-structured and full of fruit.
